Good Morning!
Any fun plans for the weekend? I have been in organization mode lately, I hope to get more of that complete this weekend. I also plan on photographing Matthew’s big-boy room so I can post about it next week.
Whether you are a Salmon eater or not, this recipe is a MUST try! Hands down the best homemade teriyaki sauce I’ve ever made and the sweet & spicy mayo sauce that tops your salmon is out of this world.
Teriyaki Marinated Salmon
Ingredients
- 2 Salmon Filets
- For the teriyaki sauce:
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 C soy sauce
- 1/4 C brown sugar - packed
- 1/4 TSP ground ginger
- 1/4 TSP garlic salt
- 2 TBS honey
- For the Sweet & Spicy Mayo:
- 1/2 C mayonnaise
- 3 TBS Sriracha
- 2 TBS sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
- Teriyaki Sauce:
- In a small bowl whisk together cornstarch + 1/4 C water; set aside
- In a small saucepan over medium heat add soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic salt, honey and 1 cup water; bring to a simmer
- Stir in cornstarch mixture until thickened (about 2 minutes)
- In a baking dish or bowl combine teriyaki marinade and salmon filets; cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes
- While the salmon is marinating make the Sweet & Spicy Mayo:
- Whisk together mayonnaise, 3 TBS Sriracha and condensed milk in a small bowl and set aside
- Once the salmon is done marinating remove it from the dish and place it in a lightly sprayed 8X8 baking dish and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes
- After the salmon has finished baking, top with sweet and spicy mayo and enjoy!
