What better way to start Toddler Tuesday off then with a recap of Matthew’s 1st Birthday? It was in March but Top Notch Mom was under construction at the time so I wasn’t able to share it with you.
I had started planning & preparing for his 1st Birthday at the end of January. I wanted it to be perfect and I had a lot of ideas in mind. Etsy became my best friend and go to place for everything I needed. We decided to do a safari them which only seemed fitting since that’s what we’ve went with since Matthew was born.
Before I get into his birthday party, I wanted to share one of my favorite things. I found these monthly onesie stickers on Etsy from StickersPlus and every month on the 8th I would sit Matthew on the chair in his room for a photo. It was amazing to see all of the changes from month to month.
Months 1-10, I will update 1-12 once I put it together
I designed the invitations using Vistaprint
I displayed all of these monthly pictures on a safari banner from JRCreativeDesigns:
For the party favors I went with the jungle pops from MandiesCandies:
I had searched on Pinterest for cake ideas and when I found one I liked I knew I had to recreate it. I had someone make the cakes and then I used fondant animals for cake toppers from Edible Designs By Letty:
The cake that was made for Matthew:
I like to throw parties and one of the signature things I always have is a candy bar. I used safari animal cards from Angies Designz to display the names of the items I had on the candy bar:
At the party, Matthew wore a custom onesie from Things Very Special:
As far as decorations we got a high chair banner & a Happy Birthday banner from Get The Party Started:
I started a Project Life Album for Matthew so I made little cards for all of the guests to sign and leave a little note for Matthew that he could look back on:
