Ikea Vanity Table

I’ve been a makeup addict for as long as I can remember. I’m pretty sure my parents let me play with make up at a relatively young age, but I guess as an only girl with 2 brothers they didn’t put up much of a fight.  When I was in my late teens I attended a lot of functions where I would need to get my hair and make up done professionally, it was then that I tried different products like MAC, Bobby Brown, and NARS and fell in love. Now I have a variety of makeup from Walgreens to Sephora and I love it all. Most of my teenage years and probably up until a year or so ago I wore acrylic tips, they didn’t do any good for my nails and it was an expensive habit. I recently got into gel manicures and decided I could do them myself and save money.

After living in a  handful of apartments before settling into our home I was always disorganized with my make up, it would be all of the counter and just one hot mess. We had all of this blank canvas to work with so we moved on from the wicker furniture I’ve had a good 10+ years and bought grown up furniture. I’ve been looking for a vanity for over a year now and I just couldn’t find one I liked. I would browse and almost click purchase, but really I didn’t love anything I saw and knew I’d just be settling. One day I was walking through Ikea and found this awesome desk and drawer organizer I knew would be perfect as a vanity table.
