Playroom Makeover

2014 has been the year of making things happen. We’ve completed the makeover of Matthew’s big boy room and now his playroom. I know some people have mixed feelings about converting a formal front room into a playroom, but it’s really all about what works for you. I was sick of tripping over toys and having a huge mess to clean up after Matthew went to bed every night. My goal for this playroom was to keep it as organized as possible to begin with. I headed off to my favorite store ever, Ikea and got to work. I also picked up some things from Amazon and Etsy, but more on that below.

PS. I highly recommend these Command Picture Hanging Strips, they are AMAZING!!

I thought  I had a better before picture of the room, I’ll keep looking. Here is a photo of the exact space we have just in the model of the house we looked at originally.

Not visible in photo above because we just recently hung it up but this Curtain Wire from Ikea is awesome for hanging up your child’s art projects.
