Ways to stay organized in 2014

A little over a year ago we purchased our very first house, that meant no more apartment living and a bigger space to call our own. Well more space meant more mess especially with a toddler. Over the past year we’ve added several pieces from Ikea that have helped to organize our living room, kitchen & office but that still didn’t seem to cut it. With 2014 around the corner I knew it was time to step up our organizing game so I enlisted the help of some of my favorite products I’ve recently come across and figured I’d share them with you. I am not one to make resolutions for the New Year but I’ve decided I need to spend less time doing things around the house like laundry and cleaning and more time doing what matters most and that is spending quality time with my family.  Do you make New Years resolutions? If so, leave me a comment below, I’d love to hear them!

Here are some of my favorite organizational products:

1. Emily Ley Simplified Planner

This planner is awesome! It has a place to write your schedule, to dos, notes and meal planning.

2.  The Simplified Life Binder

I absolutely love this binder! I write my weekly menu plan in it, take it to the grocery store with me, keep addresses in it and of course plan my blog posts in it. Emily Ley also offers a great free printable library which I absolutely adore as well!

3. Making Things Happen 2014 PowerSheets from Lara Casey

These PowerSheets are amazing! One thing I need to do in order to stay organized and on top of my family, ideas, business goals etc is to make lists so I find these sheets to be amazing for doing just that. These PowerSheets offer a space to set  goals, checklists, dreams and visions.

Below I’ve created a cleaning schedule that I hope to stick to in 2014. This way I can do little by little each day and not overwhelm myself. Feel free to print it out and use it yourself!
